Mrs. Tammy Mateljan, 4th Grade
I am a proud graduate of St. Cecilia Grade School and Cathedral High School. I attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where I received my BS in Elementary Education. I have taught for almost 20 years, all of them at St. Cecilia's. This parish is where I grew up, and it is “home” to me. I truly value the quality education I received, as well as the care and support of the teachers. The family-like atmosphere is why my heart belongs to St. Cecilia’s.
My wish for my students is that they learn the value of friendship and can look for good in everyone, through their interactions with others in the class and with me. I want them to see me as a role model and someone they can depend on at all times. It is important to me to see every student grow in their knowledge and faith during their time with me.
For the incoming 5th grade students: We all look forward to summer. It is a time to take a deep breath, relax, recharge and play in the sun. We all deserve a break but don’t want to lose all the progress we have made this year. So we are offering some enrichment activities to help you keep your skills sharp.
