Mrs. Sherri Heimerman, 3rd Grade
I am currently starting my 34th year of teaching. One year was spent at St. Margaret Mary in Wichita, Kansas teaching 1st graders before getting married and moving to Omaha. The first 10 years were spent at an inner-city school through OPS teaching 2nd graders. This year marks the beginning of 23 years at St. Cecilia. 11 years as a first grade teacher and this will be my 12th year as 3rd grade teacher.
My husband and I are in the process of raising 5 children of our own. We do have 3 children who have graduated college and have joined the work force. (YES!! there is a light at the end of the tunnel on tuition.) This year we will have 2 in college. They range in age from 28 to 19.
When I am not busy grading papers at home I like to dabble in sewing, playing the piano, doing yard work and cooking.
My class mission is to see that all children learn what will make them
productive students now and in the future. I want them to know that I love each of them as my own and expect nothing less than their best. Our faith in God will get us through many things in life. Pray when you can. Treat others as you want them to treat you.
