Mrs. Paulette Rourke, Principal
I have been at St. Cecilia Cathedral School for my entire professional career. I am a graduate of Creighton University with a BS in Elementary Education and an MS in Educational Administration.
For 35 years I taught students in grades 5 through 8. During this time, I was recognized as a National Catholic Education Association Distinguished Teacher, an Archdiocese of Omaha Outstanding Teacher, and was the first recipient of the St. Cecilia Gommerman Outstanding Teacher Award. In 2007, I became the Principal of St. Cecilia Cathedral School. I have held this position for nine years.
My husband and both my son and daughter are graduates of St. Cecilia School. I am also the proud grandmother of two!
One thing that I find most rewarding is that, after 44 years at St. Cecilia School, I have been able to know and educate several generations of many families. It is so wonderful to know that the recognition of the quality, faith-based, St. Cecilia education is valued so much that each generation wants their children to have the same rich experience.
