Mrs. Kristi Cornelius, 5th Grade
My name is Kristi Cornelius. I have been teaching at St. Cecilia Cathedral School since 1989. I am a graduate of University of Nebraska Omaha with a BS in Elementary Education and a specialization in science. I have taught students in grades 4 through 8. I am currently teaching 5th grade.
One thing I enjoy most about teaching is working with the students and seeing their faces light up when they understand a new concept. I also enjoy reading, cooking, volleyball, and spending time with my family.
The fifth graders are learning about biomes in science. We will be going to the Youth Symphony at the end of January at the Holland Center. In February we will be going to the Shrine Circus. In Social Studies we are learning about European Explorers. Adjectives is the topic we are learning about in English. We review Adjectives by playing Rag to Riches to see if we can "win" a million dollars. We are learning about virtues and Discipline With Purpose Skills to be the best students we can be.
